I am a lifelong conservative and Republican. Since relocating to Wells County in 2005, I have been actively involved with the Wells County Republican Party. I am the only candidate currently running as a “Qualified Primary Republican,” as defined by the Indiana Republican State Committee. My voting record clearly demonstrates my party affiliation, and I currently serve in a Republican elected position as Lancaster Township Trustee.
As for why I am running for Wells County Sheriff: there is currently a void in qualified, experienced, and proven conservative leadership. One of my key goals is to establish succession planning policies to help develop future leaders within the department. I bring over 30 years of law enforcement experience, including nearly 20 years as Chief of Police in two states. I also hold a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. If elected, I would be the first Wells County Sheriff with an advanced degree. My goal is to lead the Sheriff’s Department to the NEXT LEVEL of leadership and professional development.
